Hypnotherapy can be effective for some people in managing certain conditions like anxiety, pain, and stress, but results vary and it’s not universally effective.
“Hypnosis is an actually approved treatment for the relief of pain and anxiety.” Harvard.edu publication by Dr. Michael Miller.
The cost of hypnotherapy varies, typically ranging from a few hundred dollars per sessions to thousands depending on the intensity, length, duration and depending on the therapist. There are simply too many variables to apply a one size fits all pricing model.
Insurance coverage for hypnotherapy varies; some plans cover it while others do not. It often depends on whether the therapy is deemed medically necessary and the specific insurance policy. Most times it is not covered by insurance, but clients prefer this approach versus traditional medicine of pills or addressing symptoms rather than the root cause of the problem, which hypnotherapists are able to discover and help heal during treatment sessions.
