My schedule tends to fill up out about two weeks in advance, but occasionally a time will be available sooner.  If you have travel plans or an emergency, let me know and I'll do my best to accomodate.

In-Person Sessions

Contrary to many people's expectations, a significant portion of a hypnotherapy session is spent in normal, conscious conversation between the client and therapist.  During this time, the client and therapist exchange information in order to get a clear picture of the client's situation and goals.  It is important for the therapist to get as much relevant information as possible before guiding the client into a trance.

The client has every opportunity to ask any questions about hypnosis or hypnotherapy prior to entering a trance state.

There are also a number of useful exercises and techniques using visualization which require conscious attention from the client.  These exercises are also a good way of preparing for the final portion of the session, during which the therapist induces a formal trance state.

There are many ways to induce a trance, but you won't find a dangling stopwatch or crystal ball anywhere in my office.  Such techniques have gone the way of the dinosaur.  Most often it's a simple process in which the client closes his or her eyes and the therapist guides him or her through a process of relaxation before offering suggestions to the subconscious.

After awakening from this pleasant trance state, there may be a few minutes to discuss the client's experience with the therapist.

Phone Sessions and Custom CD's

Clients across the country or select individuals who are unable to travel for an office visit may qualify for long distance hypnotherapy sessions.  Long distance clients must fill out an intake form in advance, and then schedule a phone interview with Sean Wheeler.

The first part of the session is spent discussing the client's issue and goals.  After gathering the necessary information during this interview, Sean will prepare and record a hypnosis CD specifically for the client, which will be mailed to the client within 24 hours. 

He records his voice digitally onto a compact disc, which is sent via priority mail at no additional charge.  The quality of the recording is excellent, and sounds just as if Sean were in the room with you.  You will receive instructions regarding when, where and how often you should listen to the recording.

Long distance sessions must be paid in advance, with payment to be received prior to the phone interview.  The cost for a phone session is the same as a normal session.  Payment  for one session will cover the time spent during the phone interview, as well as time spent preparing and recording the CD.  Generally, the interview will last about 30 minutes, and the CD recording will be 15-30 minutes in length.  You will never be billed more than originally agreed upon.

Since each person has his or her own unique history and experiences, these custom CD's will be far more effective and meaningful than purchasing a pre-recorded hypnosis CD over the internet, because they will speak directly to you.

Because certain cases require person-to-person contact and/or the direct observation of the hypnotherapist, Sean will determine eligibility on a case-by-case basis.  To find out if you qualify for a long distance session, contact us via phone or email.
